About The Position

The Facility Manager serves as the single point of contact responsible for facilities management, assisting the Senior Facility Manager (Industrials) with the delivery of quality facility management services for Airbus Americas, Inc. Kinston Manufacturing Campus. This onsite, full-time position is responsible for delivering services to operate and maintain the facility including customer and client services, financial management, procurement, and supplier management. You will manage day-to-day facilities responsibilities for the campus including the functioning of building systems in support of business priorities while meeting or exceeding KPIs and metrics, ensuring adherence to all applicable federal and local laws.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third-party service provider, or as a consultant
  • 3+ years managing project requirements
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, best practices, and technology
  • Strong facilities knowledge of mechanical equipment and equipment maintenance
  • General knowledge and understanding of facilities-related regulations
  • General knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety and fire safety program management, recordkeeping, and related regulations and compliance standards / OSHA
  • Demonstrated experience in managing 24/7 operations in a fast-paced work environment
  • Superior client relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to plan and manage within budget and time constraints
  • Familiarity with and understanding of various building systems
  • Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision
  • Knowledge and successful application of project management practices
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with proven ability to develop strategic solutions
  • Strong budgetary management experience
  • Experience with Google platform: Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.
  • Computer proficiency in CMMS
  • Strong written, verbal, and people skills with strong collaborative management style
  • Ability to matrix manage both technical and administrative staff, oversee multiple facilities of different functions, and supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary
  • Physical ability to work in industrial environment with some walking and lifting (<35lbs)

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day facilities operations for the campus including building systems to meet or exceed KPIs and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and local regulations while partnering with external vendors to deliver operational services.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction across all organizational levels, managing FM technology platforms and processes across sites to ensure seamless delivery and drive a one-team mentality with facilities teams locally and throughout the US.
  • Directly manage support staff while ensuring site waste, energy, and water management complies with client standards, all laws and regulations, and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
  • Implement and ensure all client health and safety policies are followed at the site.
  • Develop annual site budgets with Facilities leads, monitor OpEx and CapEx spend, and support staff development through mentoring and goal setting.
  • Support client projects and ensure proper usage of the work order system.
  • Manage vendors daily, evaluating and tracking performance to KPIs.
  • Lead initiatives to improve service delivery considering cost and quality, ensuring site operations from a facility perspective and developing corrective action plans as needed.
  • Support facility budget preparation with customer goals addressed.
  • Work with Finance and Procurement to ensure timely service delivery aligned with financial targets, developing innovative programs to reduce operating costs and increase productivity.
  • Establish and maintain a safety-first culture through safe work practices, training, and best practices.
  • Provide facility services in accordance with standard processes and procedures, promoting safety culture with customers, staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors while supporting EHS program requirements and participating in the site Crisis Management Team.
  • Availability for 24/7 emergency call support.
