The Facility Manager role involves setting high safety examples, scheduling and monitoring shipping and warehouse functions, evaluating operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, ensuring corporate policy and regulatory compliance, maintaining the company fleet, and completing administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Set a high example of safety and ensure all facilities adhere to safety requirements.
  • Schedule and monitor all shipping functions to ensure they are done safely and in accordance with DOT regulations and Brenntag procedures.
  • Schedule and monitor all warehouse functions to meet customer demand, as well as all safety and environmental requirements.
  • Evaluate distribution, blending warehouse and maintenance operations for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure all corporate policy and regulatory initiatives are applied.
  • Ensure all operators receive and maintain required training.
  • Maintain responsibility for company fleet including tractors, trailers, straight trucks and tankers.
  • Ensure accuracy of all required paperwork.
  • Complete all administrative duties, as assigned.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
