About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and professional Facility Manager to join our team at a residential building in Downtown Vancouver. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, delivering janitorial services, maintaining the swimming pool, and responding promptly to client needs. You will also ensure the smooth daily operation of all building amenities, including the gym, swimming pool, and squash court. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of service and facility care.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to urgent requests.
  • Proven experience in janitorial and caretaker roles.
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.).
  • Strong computer skills for reporting and digital systems used in daily operations.
  • Pool certificate required (optional to obtain after hiring).

Nice To Haves

  • Hybrid Caretaker / Building Manager: 1 year (preferred)
  • Janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support day-to-day site operations.
  • Program fobs and enterphone systems.
  • Provide a visible presence in the facility and serve as a welcoming point of contact for club users.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the property manager to ensure the building is secure, well-maintained, and operating smoothly.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors, and vacuuming.
  • Respond promptly to residents’ questions and requests.
  • Remove litter from exterior areas, including sidewalks, courtyards, and driveway ramps.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational condition of the pool and squash court.
  • Routinely patrol the site and report issues / damage.
  • Submit caretaker reports on a regular basis.
  • Supervise trades as requested by the property manager, ensuring work is completed safely and on time.
  • Pool chemical management during working hours.
