About The Position

Valeo is a global tech company designing breakthrough solutions to reinvent mobility. As a Facility Manager, you will oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large-scale automotive manufacturing facility. This includes leading facility maintenance, utilities, infrastructure, and support operations to maximize equipment uptime, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, control operating costs, and support uninterrupted production. This posting is for an anticipated future hiring need for 2027.

Requirements

  • Mechanical skills
  • Experience in planning and maintaining facility budgets
  • 5-10 years of experience in an industrial, process, or facility field.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in Equipment's Reliability Improvement Management (ERIM) deployment with production teams.
  • Manage a global equipment reliability action plan.
  • Detect refurbishing/renewal needs and build/follow potential necessary action plans.
  • Lead the delegation of preventative maintenance level 2 and 2.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and OJT is in place.
  • Lead Kaizen actions to improve maintenance fields.
  • Ensure rules concerning equipment manufacturer assistance onsite/at distance are involved in specifications and contract negotiations.
  • Find new methods/equipment to reduce energy consumption.
  • Control energy consumption compared to the budget.
  • Prepare the energy budget for the upcoming year(s).
  • Participate, alongside Purchasing, in the yearly contract negotiation with all maintenance suppliers.
  • Participate, alongside Purchasing, in maintenance contract re-negotiation for utilities & big equipment.
  • Maintain Valeo visual standards both inside and outside of the building.
  • Control water handling in all aspects (drinking, waste, rain, fire).
  • Maintain cooling/heating, fresh air, and all water systems.
  • Maintain all logistics-related equipment.
  • Manage cleaning, gardening, and snow removal services.
  • Maintain all equipment in the breakroom.
  • Manage team members' time, attendance, training, and performance.
  • Support site quotes, specifications, and construction.
  • Manage facility-related projects.
