The positions is based out of our facility in Detroit, MI and services other locations in the region.

Requirements

2-3 years of experience in any combination of two or more of the following skills: Welding (stick welder - SMAW for heavy structural carbon steel), Plumbing (bathroom maintenance, flush valves, drains, copper, PEX, sinks, faucets, toilets), Electrical (add/replace circuits, outlets, switches, light fixtures/ballasts), Carpentry (floor tiles, doors, masonry, concrete, drywall), HVAC (preventive maintenance, minor diagnostics/repair), Roofing Repair (EPDM, TPO), Chain link fence installation and repair.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating skid steer and attachments
Commercial garage door repair
Knowledge of proper equipment and tools needed for certain tasks

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair welding issues, specifically using a stick welder (SMAW) for heavy structural carbon steel components like dock plates, dock bumpers, and doors.
Perform general bathroom plumbing maintenance, including familiarity with flush valves (Sloan, Zurn, etc.) and drains (including cabling/snaking when required). Repair copper, PEX, and replace sinks, faucets, and toilets.
Handle electrical tasks such as adding circuits and outlets/switches, replacing outlets/switches, and repairing light fixtures/ballasts.
Execute carpentry work including installing floor tiles (ceramic and VCT), repairing and hanging metal/wood doors, performing masonry repairs, concrete repairs, and drywall work.
Conduct seasonal preventive maintenance and minor diagnostic/repair for HVAC systems.
Perform roofing repairs on EPDM and TPO materials.
Install and repair chain link fences.
Operate skid steer and attachments.
Repair commercial garage doors.
Identify and utilize proper equipment and tools for specific tasks.
