About The Position

This is a physically demanding position that requires a wide range of physical activities, including heavy lifting and carrying (averaging up to 70 lbs), pushing and pulling heavy objects (up to 100 lbs of force), crouching, kneeling, bending, handling, and repetitive motions. The ability to stand continuously is essential, with occasional walking and sitting. The role involves maintaining all facility and production machinery and equipment, including preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Communication between shifts is important, as is assisting with training and the procurement of maintenance supplies. Maintaining documentation and drawings for facilities and equipment is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
Three years background in industrial electrical and/or mechanical maintenance with troubleshooting experience
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, new equipment installation, plumbing, and HVAC
Troubleshooting knowledge with various automation and PLC controlled equipment such as Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, and DirectLogic PLC’s
Preventative maintenance experience necessary
Strong problem-solving skills
Team orientated
Willingness to work on any shift and to work overtime
Ability to occasionally sit, crawl, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch, crouch/squat, forward bend, forward sit, forward stand, and climb stairs/ladders
Ability to frequently stand and walk
Ability to exert light lifting and carrying under 25 lbs up to 33% of the time
Ability to exert moderate lifting and carrying of 25-49 lbs up to 33% of the time
Ability to exert heavy lifting and carrying of 50+lbs up to 33% of the time
Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion activities such as hand/wrist, forearm/elbow, and shoulder

Nice To Haves

PLC programming experience a plus
Strong computer skills preferred
Familiarity (experience preferred) with packaging operations (box making, bagging, vacuum sealing, shrink wrap)
Familiarity (experience preferred) with assembly operations (light pressing, bearing assembly)
Familiarity (experience preferred) with welding operations (arc/mig)

Responsibilities

Repairing and maintaining all facility and production machinery and equipment
Maintaining preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Assisting with training duties
Assisting in the procurement of maintenance repair parts, equipment and supplies
Responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment documentation and drawings
Keeping all maintenance equipment clean and properly stored
Making every effort to keep appearance neat
Understanding who their customer is (both internal & external) and working towards exceeding customer expectations
Helping others work to produce quality products
Performing all maintenance activities with a high degree of quality and craftsmanship
Shift to shift communication as applicable
