About The Position

If you are interested in working on a Kentucky State Park, we are looking for you. Fort Boonesborough State Park is hiring to fill a position for a Facility Maintenance Worker II. This position will work under a Facility Maintenance Supervisor I at a state recreational park. Fort Boonesborough State Park when fully operational boasts a busy 166-site campground, replica 1775 fort, Kentucky River Museum, miniature golf, hiking trails, picnic shelters, boat ramp and a community pool.

Requirements

One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.
Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and repairs of buildings including painting, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
Landscaping duties including mowing, weed eating, pruning, planting flowers and shrubs and snow removal.
Performing janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas, including restrooms and other facilities.
Equipment maintenance on mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers and other motorized equipment.
Assisting the Facility Maintenance Supervisor I in preventative maintenance and inspections across the park.
Setting up and tearing down equipment for special events around the park.
