About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Tech performs minor repairs to the company's CNC machine equipment and works with machine manufacturers to troubleshoot and repair issues. This role also coordinates services of outside contractors for construction, remodeling, major electrical and plumbing, HVAC, roof, ground, janitorial, and security services. The position involves maintaining facilities information, drawings, and documentation, establishing and maintaining maintenance standards and schedules for company fixtures and equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, backflow devices), and assisting with moving furniture and fixtures. Additionally, the role includes replacing light bulbs, repairing ceiling and floor tiles, assisting other departments with problems and unsafe conditions, and performing other duties as assigned by management. Non-essential functions include preparing reports for management and potentially participating on the Company Safety Committee.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of hands-on experience in equivalent facilities or CNC repair work.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and machine diagrams.
  • Familiar with all aspects of facilities repair and maintenance practices.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to handle tasks and priorities.
  • Skilled in use of standard hand tools such as volt meter, wrenches, screwdrivers, plyers, etc.
  • Ability to work on and complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate including ability to use programs such as Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all minor repairs to companies CNC machine equipment.
  • Works with machine manufactures to help trouble shoot issues and repairs.
  • Helps coordinate the services of outside contractors for construction and remodeling, major electrical and plumbing, HVAC maintenance and repair, roof maintenance and repair, ground maintenance, janitorial services, and security services and equipment.
  • Complies and maintains information, drawings, and documentation files concerning facilities.
  • Establishes and maintains maintenance standards and schedules for company fixtures and equipment including, but not limited to: Fires extinguishers, Sprinkler risers, and PIV's, Backflow Prevention Devices.
  • Helps move furniture and fixtures as needed for personnel moves and changing business requirements.
  • Replacing light bulbs.
  • Ceiling and floor tile replacement and repair.
  • Assists other departments with problems and/or correction of unsafe conditions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Prepares reports for management as needed.
  • May participate on the Company Safety Committee.
