About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Tech performs all minor repairs to the company's CNC machine equipment. This role works with machine manufacturers to troubleshoot issues and repairs. The technician also helps coordinate the services of outside contractors for various facility needs, including construction, remodeling, major electrical and plumbing work, HVAC maintenance and repair, roof maintenance and repair, ground maintenance, janitorial services, and security services and equipment. The position involves complying with and maintaining information, drawings, and documentation files concerning facilities. Additionally, the technician establishes and maintains maintenance standards and schedules for company fixtures and equipment such as fire extinguishers, sprinkler risers, PIV's, and backflow prevention devices. Responsibilities include moving furniture and fixtures as needed, replacing light bulbs, and performing ceiling and floor tile replacement and repair. The role also assists other departments with problems and/or correction of unsafe conditions. Non-essential functions include preparing reports for management and potentially participating on the Company Safety Committee. The technician must be detail-oriented, able to handle tasks and priorities, skilled in using standard hand tools, and capable of working with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy, including proficiency in Word and Excel, are required. A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in equivalent facilities or CNC repair work is necessary, along with an understanding of electrical schematics and machine diagrams, and familiarity with all aspects of facilities repair and maintenance practices. The work environment is indoors in shop, offices, and warehouse settings, with occasional exposure to loud machinery, dirt, oil, grease, or solvents. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, squat, climb ladders, maintain balance, grasp and hold objects, and type at a computer keyboard. The ability to see, hear, and smell is also required. Travel is very limited.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of hands-on experience in equivalent facilities or CNC repair work.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and machine diagrams.
  • Familiar with all aspects of facilities repair and maintenance practices.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to handle tasks and priorities.
  • Skilled in use of standard hand tools such as volt meter, wrenches, screwdrivers, plyers, etc.
  • Ability to work on and complete projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate including ability to use programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires ability to stand, bend and squat.
  • Requires ability to climb ladders and maintain balance.
  • Requires ability to grasp and hold objects with hands and fingers.
  • Requires ability to type at a computer keyboard using fingers.
  • Requires ability to see, hear, and smell.

  • Establishes and maintains maintenance standards and schedules for company fixtures and equipment including, but not limited to: Fires extinguishers, Sprinkler risers, and PIV's, Backflow Prevention Devices.
  • Helps move furniture and fixtures as needed for personnel moves and changing business requirements.
  • Replacing light bulbs.
  • Ceiling and floor tile replacement and repair.
  • Assists other departments with problems and/or correction of unsafe conditions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Prepares reports for management as needed.
  • May participate on the Company Safety Committee.
