General Services Division (GSD) is a dynamic division comprised of Capitol Facilities Management, Space Management Services, Surplus Property & Recycling, and State Print & Mail. The Capitol Facilities Management Bureau (CFM) is seeking a supervisor for its 9-member Facilities Maintenance team whose responsibility it is to maintain the buildings and facilities on the Capitol Complex. You would provide leadership and supervision for our general maintenance, carpentry, and paint staff. This team’s workload is scattered around the Capitol Complex and Helena and it is the responsibility of this position to ensure resources are allocated efficiently and effectively. Key functions include ensuring coverage for facility emergencies such as inoperable building doors, leaking roofs, and power outages; and monitoring the facility preventative maintenance program to protect capitol infrastructure and offset deferred maintenance. The Facility Maintenance team frequently coordinates work with the HVAC, Building Automation, Custodial, and Landscape CFM teams. This position would have collaborative ownership of the overall custodial care of the Capitol Complex with their peer supervisors of those other CFM teams. Additionally, this position works closely with project management for in-house remodeling and special projects.
