About The Position

This role is responsible for inspecting and repairing all buildings and structures in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The position involves receiving, prioritizing, diagnosing, planning, and performing repairs, as well as assigning and tracking the progress and quality of these repairs. The Facility Maintenance Technician will provide routine and repair facility maintenance and grounds maintenance to ensure safe, effective, and proper performance. This includes developing, implementing, and conducting routine preventative maintenance schedules and identifying potential issues. The technician will inspect all structures and equipment to assess needed repairs, damages, or maintenance needs and coordinate repairs. Prompt response to emergency maintenance issues is required to safely and properly correct them in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role also includes overseeing and performing all facets of groundskeeping within the Thunderbird Lodge and Spider Mountain grounds, and maintaining clean, safe, and presentable lodging, recreation, and common areas for guests.

Requirements

  • Must possess knowledge skills, repair/maintenance and safe usage of power tools, equipment, grounds equipment, etc.
  • Must possess problem-solving skills and hold the ability to diagnose issues, identify solutions and perform tasks to rectify the issues.
  • Must possess organizational skills in order to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, manage scheduling, etc.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair all buildings and structures in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Receive, prioritize, diagnose, plan and perform repairs.
  • Assign and track progress of these repairs and the performance of the repairs made.
  • Provide routine and repair facility maintenance and grounds maintenance to ensure safe, effective and proper performance.
  • Develop, implement and conduct routine preventative maintenance schedules and identify potential issues.
  • Inspect all structures and equipment to assess needed repairs, damages or maintenance needs to ensure safety and/or coordinate repairs.
  • Respond promptly to any and all emergency maintenance issues to safely and properly correct the issue in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Oversee, and perform all facets of groundskeeping within the Thunderbird Lodge and Spider Mountain grounds.
  • Maintain clean, safe and presentable lodging, recreation and common areas for guests.
