About The Position

This position performs daily inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs of UNC parking facilities, parking equipment, lighting systems, and cleaning equipment used by the Transportation and Parking maintenance section. It also performs annual restriping of parking lots. This position will determine staffing levels for maintaining the deck structure in good repair, performing routine maintenance, ensuring that it is clean, well lighted, free of trip and fall hazards, and all equipment operates safely and properly. Employees in this division must be knowledgeable of all working components of the parking facilities including lighting, elevators, various types of parking control equipment, maintenance and repair equipment, computerized programmers for parking equipment, concrete construction, plumbing, emergency call boxes, and emergency standpipe systems. This division is responsible for ensuring that the decks operate safely during adverse weather conditions.

• Knowledgeable of all working components of the parking facilities including lighting, elevators, various types of parking control equipment, maintenance and repair equipment, computerized programmers for parking equipment, concrete construction, plumbing, emergency call boxes, and emergency standpipe systems.
• Ability to ensure decks operate safely during adverse weather conditions.
