About The Position

This position is in Cargill's Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a range of ingredients and products including poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa, and chocolate. The Facility Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the detailed accounting and accuracy of inventory for a single location. This role ensures compliance with internal control procedures, accuracy of data in business management software, and aids in establishing inventory control concepts, methods, and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
Understanding of inventory processes and flows
1-2 years of SAP experience

Experience with business management software modules used to track inventory

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership of inventory movement, inventory accuracy, inventory management, aging reports, and discrepancy investigation.
Accountable for control of raw materials required for production, ensuring inventory accuracy within SAP and accurate production reporting.
Ensure all production confirmations are completed accurately.
Facilitate actions with department teams to conduct routine cycle counts.
Ensure entry of inventory changes using business management software and other systems.
Conduct in-depth research to reconcile inventory discrepancies in the business management software and physical inventory.
Assist with root cause analysis on inventory inaccuracies to determine reasons for variances.
Lead efforts for consistent audit preparedness.
Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
