About The Position

Developmental-level position focused on supporting facility operations through coordination, customer interaction and general site support activity. Requires strong attention to detail and a working knowledge of operational processes, equipment usage and service delivery within a public facing environment. Assists in promoting safe, efficient and organized facility operations by guiding customer activity, supporting site logistics and contributing to the overall appearance and functionality of buildings and grounds.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to tenth grade education.
  • Six (6) months of experience in general facility and large and small equipment knowledge, usage and upkeep.
  • Must maintain a current, valid United States driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledge of safety practices.
  • Knowledge of human relations.
  • Skill in equipment operation (shrink wrap machine, OCC compactor).
  • Skill in materials movement.
  • Skill in operation of auxiliary equipment including compactor, skid steer, bobcat, snowplow, and small front-end loader.
  • Ability to carry out detailed but basic written or oral instruction.
  • Ability to understand system of mechanical or other procedures.
  • Ability to apply principles to solve practical, everyday problems.
  • Ability to recognize safety warnings.
  • Ability to read simple sentences with common vocabulary.
  • Ability to complete routine forms.
  • Ability to understand manuals and verbal instructions, technical in nature.
  • Ability to cooperate with co-workers on group projects.
  • Ability to develop good rapport with others.
  • Ability to demonstrate physical fitness.
  • Ability to demonstrate agility to move whole body quickly and easily when bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, manipulating hands and fingers, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate strength to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to demonstrate dexterity to use hands and/or feet skillfully.

Nice To Haves

  • Must obtain 40-hour HAZWOPER training within six (6) months of hire date.
  • Must obtain Forklift Certification within one (1) year of hire date.
  • Must maintain certification(s).
