About The Position

NBCUniversal is looking for a Facility Coordinator to assist the Engineering team with the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, mechanical equipment, FF&E grounds, and infrastructure. This role involves responding to service calls, escorting vendors, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the facility operates efficiently, remains safe, and complies with all regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
1+ years of facilities experience or related trades experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Valid state Class C driver’s license
Demonstrated proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems (BAS)
Cool Under Pressure – You handle stressful situations with ease and professionalism while juggling multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Communicates with ease – You have a way with words; written and verbal
Tech-savvy – You are an MS Office whiz and can take on new software with ease

Responsibilities

Managing lighting inventory, including changing light bulbs and ballast replacement
Perform general plumbing repairs and maintenance, including clearing floor and roof drains, gutters, fixtures, and toilets
Support Engineers as needed with filter replacement, coil cleaning and condensate line clearing
Minor door and lock repairs
Perform interior & exterior painting, staining and general carpentry tasks as needed
Minor repairs to flooring and furniture as needed
General office services tasks, including moving and/or building of furniture
Conduct site inspections and have work orders created in the CMMS
Complete work orders assigned through the CMMS and mobile platform
Record utility meter readings as required
Support vendor and 3rd party contracted services as required at the direction of the Chief Engineer, Facility or Engineering Supervisor
Attend and participate in emergency preparedness initiatives, attend drills and exercises
Support Facility Operations and other teams with event set-ups
Perform general duties including debris removal, rain preparation, materials, and storeroom inventory
Assist maintaining a clean workplace environment, including job clean up, use of pressure washers and other cleaning devices and equipment
Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours
Partner with NBCU departments to ensure compliance and safety tasks are addressed promptly
Adhere to OSHA, ADA and other regulatory requirements
Other duties as assigned
