About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 4 Years of healthcare management experience required
  • Knowledge and experience in program planning, organization, implementation and operations.
  • Responsibility for budget planning and control, cross functional, broad understanding of research and development, demand planning, execution of varied work programs and personnel management.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills required

  • Master’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, crystallize and recommend in detail, the strategies for organization development, implementation and modification of complete and integrated courses of business action; human and financial resource allocation; diversification; profit; sourcing capital; maintenance of positive external relations and internal generation of an innovative operating climate.
  • In concert with the Board of Directors and President/CEO, chart the course of the hospital and provide the strategic concepts, planning and broad executive management necessary to achieve profitability growth and any other objectives of the total enterprise.
  • Act as an agent of the board in coordinating the administrative activities.
  • Analyze and recommend the budget.
  • Conduct administrative studies of hospital operations and procedures and prepare recommendations for the Board of Directors.
  • Perform other duties as required.
