About The Position

The Facilities Worker provides essential sanitation and facilities support to ensure Wellspring Church remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for ministry and events. This role assists with set-up, tear-down, and routine cleaning while maintaining facilities and equipment with excellence. The Facilities Worker supports the day-to-day operations of Wellspring Church by ensuring the campus is clean, prepared, and functional for ministry. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role plays a vital part in providing a safe and welcoming environment for all who attend services, events, and programs. By assisting with cleaning, maintenance, and event support, the Facilities Worker helps advance the mission of Wellspring Church through excellent facilities care.

Requirements

• Must be a member, or willing to become a member, of Wellspring Church.
• Teachable spirit with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and operate commercial cleaning equipment.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions; ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the set-up and tear-down of facilities for ministry programs, meetings, and events.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as commercial vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including washing windows, emptying trash cans, and cleaning restrooms and offices.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
• Partner with other departments to ensure facility readiness and cleanliness for services and events.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain proper care of church property and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
