As a facilities technician, complete work order service requests in support of the branch maintenance department. Perform preventive maintenance, and oversee service contractors, deliver routine maintenance (housekeeping, grounds maintenance, gate maintenance, etc.). Must possess broad skills in various building trades (I.E. plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, etc.) and broad mechanical aptitude. Duties include building and equipment repair and installation, and project work.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • High mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience working with hand tools a plus.
  • Experience that demonstrates skill in various building trades listed above.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Good Interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Must be able to remain flexible with work schedule to accommodate changing facility needs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete work order service requests in support of the branch maintenance department.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Oversee service contractors.
  • Deliver routine maintenance (housekeeping, grounds maintenance, gate maintenance, etc.).
  • Building and equipment repair and installation, and project work.
  • Electrical repair; lamp changing, light fixture repair/installation, diagnostic capability.
  • Plumbing repair; pump and fixture installations/replacements/repair, drain cleaning, diagnostic capability.
  • Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning; basic understanding of commercial equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Basic mechanical repair on forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required.
  • Basic building repair but not limited to painting, wall repair, floor repair.
  • Performs other duties as required.
