About The Position

The Facilities Technician will support day-to-day facility operations at Standard Nuclear, working closely with the Facility Manager and Facility Technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable site operations. This role provides hands-on support across equipment setup, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and general facility upkeep. The Facilities Technician will also support operational teams including Uranium Processing, Additive Manufacturing, and Chemical Vapor Deposition by assisting with equipment setup and operational readiness. A portion of the work will take place in a radiological environment, requiring strict adherence to safety, environmental health, and radiological protection procedures. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual with experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environments who takes pride in maintaining safe and well-functioning workspaces.

Requirements

  • Experience in facilities operations, industrial maintenance, manufacturing support, or a similar hands-on environment.
  • Familiarity with operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts (certification a plus).
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of facility systems and equipment.
  • Comfort working in regulated environments and following detailed procedures.
  • Willingness to work in radiological areas following required training and controls.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active work.
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to communicate issues promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support for equipment setup and basic operation across multiple facility areas.
  • Assist Facility Manager and Facility Technicians with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Support operational teams by ensuring work areas and equipment are ready for use.
  • Receive, offload, and route deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts as required.
  • Maintain organization of receiving and storage areas.
  • Perform routine facility maintenance, upkeep, and housekeeping activities.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, including monthly inspections and servicing.
  • Assist with minor repairs and coordinate maintenance issues with appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Nuclear environmental health and safety (EH&S) and radiological protection policies and procedures.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to the Facility Manager or site ES&H officer.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safe work practices and personal accountability.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a positive safety culture across the site.
  • Support organizational objectives and key results through reliable execution of assigned tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with facilities, operations, and technical teams to support site success.
  • Maintain professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail in all activities.
