About The Position

The Facilities Technician performs a variety of repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day at all company locations. Work may include carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks, painting, flooring, landscaping, and general facilities repair. The technician inspects facilities, performs preventive maintenance, follows safety standards, maintains the company vehicle, completes monthly inspections of safety equipment and emergency systems, and carries out other duties assigned by a manager or supervisor. The role also requires compliance with applicable Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and other regulatory agency guidelines.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to work with power tools.
Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
Knowledge of safety standards.

Nice To Haves

College or technical school degree preferred; high school education is also listed.
Experience with plumbing and electrical systems repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Inspect facilities to identify needs and perform preventive maintenance.
Follow safety regulations and standards.
Keep the company vehicle in optimal condition.
Inspect smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, exit signs, and emergency lights monthly.
Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
Paint designated areas.
Repair gypsum board.
Perform general facilities maintenance, including painting, patching, floor tiles, wall bases, ceiling tiles, hanging equipment, and pressure washing.
Complete the monthly power generator checklist.
Comply with applicable CMS and other regulatory agency guidelines.
Perform other duties assigned by the manager and/or supervisor.
