About The Position

Entegris is seeking to add a Facilities Technician to perform hazardous waste operations within our Hazardous Waste team. The position will be independently responsible for coordinating and executing a number of hazardous waste tasks across multiple buildings. These tasks include managing daily hazardous waste shipments, performing satellite waste inspections, and various other facilities efforts.

Requirements

  • RCRA Certified
  • DOT Hazmat Transportation
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to move chemical drums, and chemical totes.
  • Ability to climb ladders, staging and platforms.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
  • Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
  • Requires basic analytical skills.
  • Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training.
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Nice To Haves

  • MA Wastewater Level 1 license, or ability to obtain within 1 year is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Taking daily inventories and working with internal and external stakeholders to schedule hazardous waste shipments.
  • Managing and creating required regulatory paperwork such as DOT manifests.
  • Coordinating internal lab packs with end users and vendors.
  • Performing satellite waste pick ups according to regulatory requirements and operation’s needs.
  • Be part of on-call rotation.
  • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Performs assigned day-to-day hazardous waste inspections, inventories, emergencies and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintains proper regulatory and internal records as required.
  • Ability to work according to priority of assigned work orders, daily plant needs and emergency needs.
  • Perform maintenance, cleaning and calibrations on facilities equipment.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
