About The Position

This position effectively supports Fralock's overall business operation through the continual upkeep, maintenance, effective operation, and improvement of the facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and cost-effective manner. This role requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), necessitating the successful candidate to be a "U.S. person".

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of machine control systems, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and control systems, and power transmission systems.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the use of manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and many other tools utilized in a machine shop environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical, machine control systems, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and control systems, and power transmission systems (belt and chain drive systems).
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring codes and systems, voltages AC/DC, and amperages. Proper use of electrical test and diagnostic procedures.
  • Working knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and related skills.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480v, 3 phase.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the use of metal shears, brakes, punches, acetylene torch, band saw, chisels, and hammers utilized in the metal fabrication or maintenance shop.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar position.
  • Ability to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects and perform maintenance tasks.
  • Correctable vision and hearing.
  • Ability to stand/walk and perform physical labor for most of the working shift. Pull, push, squat, etc. to accomplish repairs.
  • Intermittently lift loads of up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR and EAR.

Nice To Haves

  • Wide experience with multiple power and hand tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical applications.
  • Strong fabricating skills.
  • Previous cleanroom experience desirable.
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or five (5) years’ work experience plus two (2) years related technical training program/military technical training.
  • Journeyman experience/ C-10 license a huge plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the facility at a fully operational level, including HVAC, physical structure, plumbing, grounds, alarms, fire sprinklers, structures, forklifts, vehicles, and equipment moves.
  • Maintain a schedule of planned activities to ensure on-time delivery of maintenance actions.
  • Assist the Maintenance department with repairing, installing, adjusting, or maintaining complex industrial production equipment and machinery, including performing complex preventive maintenance on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Manage the environmental program, including hazardous material inventory & storage, recycling program & E-waste reporting diversion numbers to the EHS manager.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment and facilities systems.
  • Ensure the facility is safe.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assess if additional service is required.
  • Assist in installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
  • Repair, rebuild, or upgrade equipment/machines or systems utilizing needed techniques and tools to meet specific safety codes and standards.
  • Perform facility maintenance and upkeep by coordinating with outside contractors and by utilizing painting, woodworking, and plumbing skills, and assistance from other members of the maintenance team.
  • Manage waste diversion program.
  • Perform complex preventative maintenance on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Keep Hazardous chemical inventory current.
  • Create and keep all department reporting matrix up to date.
  • Keep SDS files up to date.
  • Complete tracking and reporting of all diverted waste.
  • Coordinate and assist with the implementation of safety actions.
  • Complete work orders in the work order program.
  • Assist with janitorial services as required.
  • Work effectively as an individual contributor as well as part of a team in an organized manner.
  • Communicate effectively through all levels.
  • Notify manager if complicated issues arise.
