About The Position
The City of Peoria Facilities Division is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician II to maintain and repair municipal buildings, electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure. This role performs hands-on electrical troubleshooting, NFPA 70B compliant thermographic inspections, minor fabrication, and equipment installation across city facilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of directly related facility maintenance or trades experience.
- Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's License upon hire.
- Ability to pass a Police Department background check.
- EPA Universal Certification (within 12 months of hire).
- Level 1 Thermography Certification (within 12 months of hire).
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Card (within 12 months of hire).
- Electric League of Arizona Building Operators' Certificate (within 18 months of hire).
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair municipal buildings, electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure.
- Perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting.
- Conduct NFPA 70B compliant thermographic inspections.
- Perform minor fabrication.
- Install equipment across city facilities.
- Participate in a rotating schedule for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency response.
