About The Position

The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Technician II for its Facilities Management team at the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center. The position performs a wide range of maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities in a large, complex Class A high-rise facility. The successful candidate will use strong mechanical aptitude to work independently and contribute to a multi-skilled facilities team. This is a permanent, full-time, unclassified, non-exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator. The first-shift schedule is based at 65 South Front Street, Columbus, Ohio. The salary range is $50,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience, and the position receives a commuter stipend each paycheck. The role participates in an on-call rotation and may require occasional work outside normal business hours. Work takes place throughout the facility, including mechanical rooms, equipment areas, and outdoor environments. It may involve exposure to noise, electrical equipment, paints, solvents, refrigerants, water-treatment chemicals, and other conditions associated with commercial building maintenance. Physical demands include frequent walking and standing; possible climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, pushing, and pulling; and lifting up to 50 pounds individually and occasionally participating in team lifts of up to 100 pounds. Equipment operation is permitted after appropriate training and authorization. The final candidate must complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. Criminal convictions are individually assessed and do not necessarily preclude consideration.
