About The Position

Queen of Peace Center (QOPC), a family-centered behavioral healthcare provider for women, children, and families since 1985, is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and functional facilities. The technician will work under the direction of the Facilities Manager and technical guidance of the Facilities Lead, completing work orders, supporting facility operations, and adhering to regulatory and safety requirements. The position offers a starting hourly wage of $20 and requires flexible scheduling, including participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license required. (MO Residents require Class E).
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school, trade certification, or related vocational training preferred.
  • One to three years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment and report deficiencies.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities for building systems and equipment.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Assist with furniture moves, room setups, and facility support activities.
  • Support life safety, emergency preparedness, and compliance activities as assigned.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and work-order documentation.
  • Assist vendors and contractors while they are performing work on-site.
  • Report maintenance and safety concerns to the Facilities Lead or Facilities Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
