About The Position

Warm Beach Senior Community (WBSC), a non-profit ministry of the Free Methodist Church with 59 years of service to the elderly and the community, is looking for a Maintenance technician to join their team. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, 7am to 3:30pm.

Requirements

• 1-2 year's facilities tech/maintenance, preferably in a multi-complex setting
• 1 year handyman construction, finish carpentry, painting required.
• 1 year of electrical and plumbing experience required.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines to meet move in dates of future residents.
• Must be able to adjust shift (only when necessary) when working on bigger projects that may interfere with resident’s daily activities.
• Must be a self-starter who will work independently or the ability to work cohesively with other staff.
• Must be able to communicate material needs prior to necessity with facilities coordinator so timelines are not interrupted by lack of product.
• Must be able to communicate and respect resident's home and space without conflict while ensuring their safety from hazardous materials or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple projects and meet deadlines to meet move-in dates of future residents.

• Have daily interactions with seniors in their home setting, communicating and respecting their home and space without conflict while ensuring their safety from hazardous materials or equipment.
