About The Position

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The incumbent is also responsible for the performance of various maintenance work including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical. This role involves repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment, installing and repairing various audio and electronic systems, performing maintenance painting and wall covering, and constructing carpentry structures. The position also includes maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment, boilers, and electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment. Fabricating, repairing, and maintaining equipment such as mechanical devices, motors, and pumps throughout the property is also a key responsibility. The role requires responding to customer requests for maintenance assistance to provide courteous, timely, and expert service, and assisting in the installation, removal, or relocation of electronic equipment. The Facilities Tech III fixes all property electronic equipment (except for slot machines and computers) by repairing minor damage to parts and wiring and replacing failed components. They also repair and install structural woodwork and equipment, assist in preparing wall surfaces for painting and wall covering, and perform upholstery work on hotel and casino furniture. Installation and maintenance of tile, marble floor materials, and carpet are also part of the duties. The role involves examining and performing preventative maintenance checks on various types of electronic equipment, including fire alarms, surveillance systems, and satellite systems. Additionally, the position requires running milling equipment, lathes, and power tools, and welding materials. Performing all operations incidental to maintenance painting and carpentry to meet specifications, using manual or mechanical means, erecting scaffolding, preparing surfaces, and mixing ingredients properly are also included. The role may involve working with electronic hotel lock systems and high-rise lift equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ related engineering experience in a hotel/casino with 750 or more rooms, and/or through the completion of an AA Degree in a related field and five years’ related experience.
  • Thorough and in-depth knowledge of plumbing, mechanics, electrical and electronic systems, welding, refrigeration, boilers and HVAC and chillers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all times, with customers as well as all levels of employees.
  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to basic hand and power tools, lathe arc welder, and electronic testing equipment, power sprayers, power saws.
  • Able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work areas including lamp posts, parking structures, boilers, HVAC duct areas, high ceilings and attic space.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
  • Installing and repairing all audio systems, television and radio systems, satellite systems, CCTV systems, alarm systems, digital and analog control systems, audio-visual equipment systems, and paging systems.
  • Performing maintenance painting/wall covering, and repairs and constructs carpentry structures.
  • Maintaining and repairing refrigerator equipment, boilers, and electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
  • Fabricating, repairing, and maintaining equipment such as any mechanical devices, motors, and pumps throughout property.
  • Assisting in building interface or accessory equipment as needed.
  • Responding to customer requests for maintenance assistance.
  • Assisting in the installation, removal or relocation of electronic equipment.
  • Fixing all property electronic equipment (except for slot machines and computers) by repairing minor damage to parts and wiring and replacing failed components.
  • Repair and installs structural woodwork and equipment; assist is preparing wall surface for painting and wall covering.
  • Performing upholstery work as required on hotel and casino chairs, sofas, gaming tables/layouts, restaurant booths and equipment.
  • Installing and maintaining all tile, marble floor materials, carpet, carpet tiles.
  • Examining and performing preventative maintenance checks on various types of electronic equipment to include fire alarms, surveillance systems, and satellite systems.
  • Running milling equipment, lathes and power tools; welds materials.
  • Performing all operations incidental to any type of maintenance painting and carpentry to meet specifications.
  • Using manual or mechanical means under general supervision.
  • Erecting scaffolding, preparing surfaces and mixing ingredients properly.
  • Working with electronic hotel lock systems.
  • Working with high rise lift equipment.
  • Performing related duties and responsibilities as required.
