About The Position

The Facilities Tech II works in the Facilities department at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Requirements

• Graduate of a trade school, or two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and manufacturer-specified preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and facility structures.
• Repair or replace faulty mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and boiler equipment, including clearing obstructed lines and repairing leaking fixtures.
• Perform daily checks and repairs on specialized equipment, including nurse call systems, medical gas outlets, TVs, and patient transport equipment such as wheelchairs.
• Manage the receipt, distribution, and relocation of facility materials, furniture, equipment, and files between storage and active locations.
• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment (PPE) and complete safety checks to ensure compliance with regulatory codes.
