About The Position

The Facilities Team Member will be reliable and detail-oriented, focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in our Student Union and Dining Hall. This position is critical for ensuring that high-traffic student areas and administrative spaces are sanitized and ready for daily use. All members of MVS’s vibrant staff bring the school’s mission and vision to life each day for students and families in the Dayton community. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass a BCI & FBI background check

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of facilities and/or custodial experience in a school setting

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the dining hall, with a primary focus on cleaning and sanitizing immediately following the last lunch period each day.
Sweep and mop hard flooring surfaces daily.
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and common seating areas.
Empty all trash and recycling bins, replacing liners as needed.
Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring all dispensers are filled.
Dust-mop and wet-mop hard floors; vacuum all carpeted areas.
Clean and sanitize offices, classrooms, and conference rooms.
Maintain common areas and hallways to ensure they are free of debris.
Clean restrooms and high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches).
Nutter Science wing cleaning of classes and floor care.
Upper School and Middle School Bathrooms floor care and cleaning.
Cleaning of nurses station and nurses bathroom.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and Grounds to ensure the effective operation of the facility and campus.
