About The Position

This role is responsible for various facility maintenance and support tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. The position involves daily checks, waste management, groundskeeping, operating equipment, and assisting with janitorial duties. The employee will also be responsible for specific programs like the Acetone program and coolant management, as well as general upkeep such as floor stripping and waxing.

• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily checks on all drains to ensure no environmental discharges.
• Maintains facility waste cans, including those throughout production areas.
• Ensures all waste hoppers are emptied regularly to prevent waste buildup.
• Walks facility grounds to ensure all trash is picked up and disposed of.
• Disposes of hardened resin drums daily.
• Operates drum crusher to minimize drum buildup.
• Maintains clear fire lanes around the facility.
• Blows down walkways and drives for a clean area.
• Utilizes a magnet to remove nails and screws to prevent tire damage.
• Maintains Acetone program (dispensing, disposal, storage, usage logs).
• Helps janitorial staff clean breakroom after breaks and lunch.
• Removes MRB scraps before the daily meeting.
• Dumps used coolant drums.
• Manages the coolant filtering and recycling process.
• Bails all cardboard.
• Performs floor stripping and waxing.
• Performs mopping and sweeping as directed.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned.
