About The Position

The Facilities Supervisor assists the Director of Facilities with facilities operations and helps ensure that mechanical equipment is in working order and that the property is repaired and maintained. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of the hotel property, outside grounds, and hotel equipment, as well as preventative maintenance and asset protection. The position also supports guest service, facilities team supervision and training, property operations administration, inventory and purchasing, and coordination with outside contractors. Training will be provided for office equipment, EMS systems, and Life Safety Systems.

Requirements

Two years of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Universal refrigerant license.
Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
Ability to properly use an electrical meter.
Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, and push or pull throughout the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Vocational or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Facilities as needed.
Respond efficiently to guests’ maintenance requests and questions and resolve their needs.
Assist in training, motivating, and supporting the facilities team to ensure quality service.
Recognize and reward superior performance.
Assist the Director of Facilities in supervising the facilities team.
Organize and participate in meetings and maintain records and data related to Property Operations.
Develop and monitor engineering supplies, parts, and inventories, and administer the purchase order system.
Coordinate with outside contractors.
Use office equipment, EMS systems, and Life Safety Systems correctly; training will be provided.
Support facilities operations, including maintenance and repair of the property, outside grounds, and hotel equipment, preventative maintenance, and asset protection.
