About The Position

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of The Beehive Campus in South Los Angeles, ensuring that it meets legal requirements and health and safety standards. This includes making sure that the facility is operating as it should on a daily basis by completing daily inspections and conducting repairs and maintenance as needed. Requirements

  • At least five years experience in facilities management for a complex mixed use asset
  • Proven experience in a leadership position
  • Project management skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to multitask in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the desire to provide best in class service at all times
  • Superb time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in civil engineering or related field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement facility management strategies in collaboration with the Events Manager
  • Oversee contracts and relationships with service providers (e.g., janitorial, security, parking, catering) to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Act as a liaison between tenants, property management, and internal departments to ensure service excellence and issue resolution
  • Conduct routine inspections and implement proactive maintenance programs
  • Manage emergency situations and ensure the safety of all occupants
  • Monitor and manage an annual facilities budget
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast facility needs and support capital improvement planning
  • Oversee renovations, tenant improvements (TI), and construction projects from planning through completion
  • Support office relocations and operational logistics
  • Maintain facility security procedures, including opening/closing protocols
  • Prepare and oversee maintenance reports, inspection logs, and asset documentation
  • Coordinate AV, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and low-voltage projects as needed
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
