About The Position

This position is for a Facilities Supervisor on the 2nd Shift. The role involves managing the TMA system, directing technicians for repairs, anticipating and solving potential problems, and ensuring excellent attendance. The supervisor must be able to operate various equipment including Forklift, Tugger, Utility cart, Scissor and Boom lift. Flexibility to work weekends, pre-shift, and potentially 1st shift is required, along with overtime. The role also supports NSE facilities at night and requires support for Lincoln and Talladega facilities. Key responsibilities include enforcing policies and procedures, supporting daily repairs and projects, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting production changes and physical inventory. Quality control involves ensuring requested work and minor forklift repairs are executed, and compiling a shift report. Cost management includes executing planned maintenance to minimize downtime and ensuring correct methods/parts are used for repairs. Morale is maintained by directing and instructing team members positively, treating associates respectfully, and raising concerns to management. Training involves training on SOPs, skill advancement courses, and training technicians on SOPs.

Requirements

  • Post-high school (Certification in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Able to interact professionally within the company with our customer and associates
  • Able to lead a project and present information to management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to pass Substance testing and badging process through HMA
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office
  • Successful completion of the Microsoft assessment test will be required
  • Must be a full-time associate with a minimum of 3 months of service (Associate cannot be in their New Hire Probationary Period)
  • Must not have received any formal written occurrences, other than attendance during the past 12 months
  • Must not have less than 3.5 points during the time of posting and/or cannot reach 1.5 points while in the position
  • Cannot have received a transfer from an internal posting from Division to Division within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Manage TMA system and direct technicians for repairs
  • Anticipate potential problems and apply solutions and preventative measures
  • Operate equipment: Forklift, Tugger, Utility cart, Scissor and Boom lift
  • Support NSE facilities at night
  • Support Lincoln and Talladega facilities
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures
  • Support and direct daily repairs and projects
  • Follow and enforce safety rules and requirements of NSE and OSHA
  • Ensure work area is clean (5s at end of shift)
  • Direct technicians with a “Safety First” mindset
  • Support short notice production changes
  • Support Physical Inventory (1/year)
  • Ensure requested work and minor forklift repairs are executed
  • Compile a shift report at the end of each shift including all repairs made and communicate any concerns that could become issues immediately
  • Execute planned maintenance to minimize downtime repairs
  • Ensure repairs are made using correct methods/parts
  • Direct and instruct team members and associates daily in a positive and professional way
  • Treat all associates consistently and respectfully
  • Raise concerns/issues immediately to management
  • Train on SOPs as presented by management
  • Train technicians and enforce SOPs
