About The Position

We are seeking a Facilities Specialist to ensure a safe, healthy, and secure environment for a large customer experience center (call center) through effective facilities management. In this role, you will manage day-to-day operations including light maintenance, vendor coordination, and compliance regulations. You will collaborate with site leaders, vendors, and cross-functional partners to balance immediate needs and strategic objectives. Success is measured by maintaining operational efficiency, safety standards, and quality service delivery. This role is 5-days/week Monday-Friday at our Richmond (White Oak) Call Center. You must be able to participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours issues. Flexibility to support occasional overnight work as business needs require.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Up to 2 years of facilities, maintenance, or related experience
  • Experience in a multi-building, campus, or call center environment preferred
  • Exposure to HVAC, mechanical systems, or furniture systems preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to support employees and site leadership
  • Vendor management and coordination experience
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Handle light facility maintenance such as electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Manage vendor services such as janitorial, café, landscaping to ensure quality and timely service, ultimately a safe and functional environment for staff and visitors.
  • Support security, audits, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate events, signage, mailroom operations, and shipping/receiving
  • Order and manage supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  • Coordinate space management activities including moves, furniture reconfigurations, and ergonomic accommodations.
  • Coordinate financial activities including budget tracking, purchase orders, and invoice processing to support site operations.
  • Support preventative maintenance for critical systems (HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to business continuity and facility planning.
  • Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal codes and maintain disaster business continuity plans for the facility.
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.
