Requirements

  • Understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Ability to repair motors, pumps, and machinery.
  • Proficiency using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment like multimeters.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, building codes, and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
  • Adaptability to handle varied tasks and work on-call for emergencies.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, work in tight spaces, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and lift.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to work in an environment with noise.
  • Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including welding helmets, hand shields, goggles, respirators, fire/flame resistant clothing and aprons, and gloves.
  • Additional PPE will be required for positions involving work in a clean room environment.
  • Developed analytical skills and application of scientific methods.
  • Good understanding of how the team integrates with others.
  • Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Uses communication skills to exchange of information.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair building systems.
  • Perform HVAC maintenance.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting.
  • Perform plumbing repair.
  • Use hand/power tools.
  • Ensure safety compliance.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Replace switches and outlets.
  • Diagnose electrical issues.
  • Read schematics.
  • Repair leaks.
  • Unclog drains.
  • Maintain fixtures.
  • Perform drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and building hardware repairs.
  • Track work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and MS Office.
