About The Position

This position is responsible for the general plumbing maintenance of all CPA-owned facilities. Duties include the replacement, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems and equipment. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and requires the ability to work weekends.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 7 years of hands-on commercial / Industrial plumbing maintenance and repair experience.
  • Must have a superior record of attendance.
  • Must be a team player able to perform in a fast-paced environment, be flexible and a self starter.
  • Ability to secure a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days

Nice To Haves

  • Journeymen Plumbing certification is preferred
  • Have working knowledge of medium to high-security plumbing fixtures and apparatus in controlled areas.

Responsibilities

  • Must possess working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance.
  • Performs maintenance to include but not be limited to, replacement or repair of sinks, electrical flushing fixtures, toilets, water fountains, back-flow preventers, water faucets (interior and exterior), irrigation systems, lift stations, trenching, unclogging drains using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
  • Complete work orders and forms to ensure all documents regarding repairs/maintenance are complete.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe and malfunctioning conditions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and schematics as they relate to buildings and utilities services systems.
  • Apply methods, practices, and procedures in preventative maintenance, inspection, repair, renovation, and minor construction of buildings and utilities.
  • Safely operate state vehicles and/or construction equipment in all weather conditions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • During emergency conditions, all CPA employees are automatically considered essential employees and may be subject to recall. These events may include, but are not limited to, natural, man-made, or public health emergencies. Employees may be expected to perform emergency and/or recovery operations outside of their normal assigned responsibilities and normal routine working hours.
