About The Position

The Facilities Services Specialist performs and supports general maintenance, repair, and facilities service activities. This role assists with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, office equipment, supply transport, fleet maintenance scheduling, and safe deposit box maintenance to help ensure facilities, equipment, and related services remain functional and well maintained.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years of experience required
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems required
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools required
  • Carpentry skills required
  • Moderate interpersonal relations and communication skills required
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair work involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry needs.
  • Repair equipment such as engines, lawn mowers, electrical fixtures, sinks, and drinking fountains.
  • Install ceiling and floor tiles using general hand tools and electrically powered hand tools.
  • Perform minor and routine painting, woodwork repair, and plaster repair.
  • Cleaning/janitorial in all of the common areas and being responsible for the coffee throughout the day.
  • Ensure mechanical equipment, including air conditioners, heating systems, and alarm systems, is functioning properly.
  • Perform minor repairs on office equipment and other facility-related equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair work.
  • Perform carpentry duties to build additions or revisions to existing structures or facilities.
  • Support facility improvements and repairs within the scope of assigned maintenance responsibilities.
  • Operate a motor vehicle to transport supplies or pick up items.
  • Assist with stocking and shelving delivered supplies.
  • May be responsible for scheduling fleet car maintenance.
  • Maintain safe deposit boxes in the Main Office and all branches.
  • Change safe deposit locks and maintain inventory.
  • Perform break-opens as needed.
  • Assign duties to other facility staff as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Contribute to special initiatives and ad hoc assignments that support evolving business needs and personal professional development.
