About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Facilities Service Manager to support Tool Construction and the 737 NL Tool Construction Team on 3rd shift located in Everett, Washington. This role manages employee activities within the facilities occupation, including facilities planning, analysis, project administration, property administration, facilities provisioning, engineering, construction, and Plant & Equipment maintenance. The position involves developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and setting operational goals. The Facilities Service Manager will acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements. This role also involves developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners, and direct reports, and providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Participation in equipment make/buy decisions, source selection, and technical oversight of suppliers is also required. The manager will be responsible for managing, developing, and motivating employees.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Must complete a Basic First-Line Leader Assessment as part of the selection process.
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience using Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
  • 2+ years of experience managing team workloads (preventative, planned, and reactive service requests & activities)
