About The Position
Under the direction of the Lead Plumber / Irrigation Mechanic, the Facilities Plumber adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains facility plumbing systems and applications. The role requires knowledge of local plumbing codes and includes performing preventive maintenance, inspecting domestic water systems, recording equipment readings and repairs, and keeping tools and technical records in good order.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes.
- Three to five years of experience with commercial or industrial plumbing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Trade school certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Adjust, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain facility plumbing systems and applications.
- Perform preventive maintenance on systems and maintain applicable logbooks.
- Conduct walk-through inspections of domestic water systems, including water booster pumps, gauges, and boiler temperature readings.
- Repair showers, sinks, toilets, water booster pumps, and on- and off-site facilities.
- Record gauge readings, completed repairs, and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
- Maintain technical logs and record relevant data as appropriate.
- Keep tools, equipment, and supplies in good, clean, operating order.
- Promote positive public and employee relations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
