About The Position

The HVAC/R & Plumbing Supervisor oversees the operation, maintenance, and optimization of building automation systems and HVAC/R equipment, ensuring effective control of heating, cooling, and plumbing infrastructure throughout Washington County facilities. This role leads and directs a team of HVAC and plumbing professionals, manages budgets and resources, and handles contract oversight for related services. The supervisor also coordinates and contributes to large-scale capital improvement projects involving the replacement and enhancement of mechanical systems.

Requirements

Proper methods, procedures, tools, and equipment used in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment as well as plumbing, mechanical, and electrical trades.
Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation.
Manipulate DDC systems for large facilities and systems to include: chillers, boilers, hydronic loops, air handlers, fan coils, commissioning, etc.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
Utilize various software and computerized tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
A high school diploma/GED.
Four (4) years of journey-level experience as an HVAC and/or DDC/BAS technician.
A minimum of two (2) years lead or supervisory experience.
EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Universal).
Must pass a WCSO criminal Background check and maintain access to all spaces.

Some positions may be required to possess a valid driver's and have an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy.
May be required to report to work during off-duty hours for emergency situations.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
