Facilities Operations Manager

About The Position

The Regional Facilities Manager oversees the development and supervision of the day-to-day operations, custodial and maintenance. The incumbent will be responsible for the smooth functioning and code compliance of designated facilities, including equipment and systems, by managing and directly supervising the activities of the maintenance personnel.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in service industry or contract services environment; experience in a school setting is considered an asset
  • Minimum of 3-5 years direct management experience
  • University/College diploma or a Trade Qualification as a journeyman in a relevant trade preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the effective maintenance and operation of buildings, grounds, equipment and hardware by utilizing efficient planning and scheduling and ensuring work is completed according to applicable regulations and standards.
  • Leads, supervises, and performance manages facilities staff and is accountable for the area’s operational planning as well as resource allocation and utilization.
  • Organize, plan, coordinate, execute, monitor and deliver minor work projects.
  • Assist with major capital projects when required.
  • Ensuring that work orders and service requests are completed in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Order/purchase of supplies.
