About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Facilities Coordinator to join our fast-paced transportation and logistics team in New Jersey. You will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our physical hubs, ensuring our fleet, warehouse, and office workspaces are fully operational, secure, and compliant with all transportation regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, warehousing, or operations within the transportation, logistics, or industrial sector.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), dispatch software, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, and maneuver around busy warehouse and shipping environments throughout the day.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • High-pressure problem-solving capability common in high-volume supply chain environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Facilities Management is preferred.
  • Forklift certification or OSHA-10/30 general industry certification is highly desired.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance of warehouse buildings, office spaces, and grounds (e.g., HVAC systems, dock doors, lighting, and security gates).
  • Coordinate and dispatch third-party vendors and contractors for facility services including waste management, landscaping, and snow removal.
  • Monitor building access control, security systems, and safety protocols to protect high-value supply chain assets.
  • Inspect and track warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and transport staging areas to ensure they are OSHA-compliant and ready for daily deployment.
  • Work with on-site mechanics and facility managers to coordinate maintenance schedules and track equipment downtime.
  • Maintain an organized shop environment, assist with loading/unloading areas, and ensure emergency wash stations and safety equipment are functional.
  • Track and maintain inventory levels of facility consumables, packaging supplies, shipping materials, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Source materials, negotiate with vendors on pricing, and reconcile purchase orders and invoices.
  • Ensure the facility adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and EPA standards.
  • Conduct routine safety audits, document facility inspection findings, and assist with implementing corrective action plans.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
