About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of facility systems at the site. The Facilities Mechanic ensures all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and supporting infrastructure operate safely and efficiently through preventative and corrective maintenance. This position plays a critical role in maintaining uptime, supporting client operations, coordinating vendors, and delivering a high level of customer service while aligning JLL’s commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, or comparable work experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience on facilities technician and maintenance
  • Proven experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems, including MEP infrastructure
  • Strong ability to diagnose system malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Hands-on experience using tools and equipment required for facility maintenance and repairs
  • Proficiency with smartphones and basic computer applications
  • Ability to respond to emergency service calls and participate in an on-call rotation with a required on-site response time
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Corrigo or similar CMMS platforms
  • Working knowledge of dock equipment, compressed air systems, and industrial facility operations
  • Prior experience coordinating third-party vendors and contractors
  • Basic electrical, plumbing, or mechanical certifications or trade training
  • Experience in a commercial, industrial, or manufacturing facility environment
  • Familiarity with reviewing operational logs and compliance documentation

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operation and perform repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair drainage systems, including clearing blockages and servicing restroom fixtures
  • Monitor and maintain compressed air systems, respond to alarms or failures, and schedule preventative maintenance
  • Oversee dock and loading equipment systems, respond to malfunctions, and coordinate vendor support as needed
  • Review equipment logs and CMMS work orders to ensure systems are operating properly and issues are reported promptly
  • Prioritize and manage preventative, corrective, and emergency work orders across daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules
  • Coordinate with the client to schedule equipment downtime to minimize impact on operations and end users
