About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the company’s grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure a safe and functional workspace. The Facilities Manager will collaborate with service providers, inspect facilities for safety compliance, supervise repair and maintenance technicians, and coordinate maintenance requests. This position works closely with the Director of Corporate Facility Management to support the overall facilities management strategy.

Requirements

  • 1 – 2 years of proven experience in facility management.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple, concurrent, complex projects effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels.
  • Ability to achieve results through others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and accomplish team objectives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of preferred experience and knowledge with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Refrigeration systems.
  • Previous experience with retail facilities management background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot store requests (maintenance and equipment problems).
  • Prioritize requests and ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assign duties and oversee Repair and Maintenance Technicians.
  • Review all service requests for repairs and maintenance and follow up on all questionable services and costs.
  • Maintain all service, repair, and maintenance contracts.
  • Collaborate and communicate concisely with various departments, stores, and vendors to meet store requests.
  • Communicate job status to the store director/manager or department head as needed.
  • Respond and provide support for emergency situations that may arise during non-office hours.
  • Assist with facilities-related special projects as needed.
  • Work closely with other departments and store management to ensure all R&M needs are met in a timely fashion.
  • Understand and live by the company mission, vision, values, guiding principles, and house rules.
