About The Position

Assists the Director of Facilities in handling the operation of the department. Assists in the formulation and administration of programs for preventive maintenance as well as day-to-day repairs. Follows up with Facilities Supervisors assigned to various projects to ensure that time tables are maintained and completion dates are met. Assists in coordinating and directing the functions of the trades persons assigned to the various shifts. Oversees the scheduling with the Facilities Supervisor. Assists with the preparation and estimation of labor, material, construction and equipment costs for inclusion in departmental operating budget. Assists in the hiring and training of supervisors and department employees. Maintains communications with the Executive Director of Purchasing & Support Services on new hires to ensure personnel are properly oriented and trained and contract agreements are met. Responsible for the supervision of Facilities Supervisors. Relays potential problems to the Director if necessary. May be required to cover shifts as needed. Responsible for monitoring the energy costs of the department and advising where energy savings programs are necessary. Must be fluent with all assembly life safety issues and codes. Regulates within the department, that all commitments relating to Resort’s Facilities are acted on in a timely manner and in compliance with all rules and regulations of all Governing, City and State agencies.

Requirements

  • Technical experience in various trades and supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years Facilities/Maintenance and Construction Management, with at least three (3) years of related key management in a Casino/Hotel environment.
  • Prior experience in the administration of union contracts/trade agreements.
  • Must be able to obtain the appropriate Casino Control Commission license for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred, may substitute additional work experience for degree.
  • Blue Seal High Pressure license preferred.
  • Familiarity with city inspections and state DCA submissions preferred.
