About The Position

Self Help, Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Manager to ensure the functionality and safety of our various facilities and equipment in the Brockton area. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to maintain a comfortable and operational environment for our staff and clients. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Must pass a criminal background check and other required clearances
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
Demonstrated knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance procedures
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues effectively
Proficiency in the safe and proper use of hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks requiring bending, stooping, and reaching
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance, general repairs, or a related field
Experience in project planning and budget management

Nice To Haves

Vocational or technical training in a relevant field preferred
Candidates with an HVAC, plumbing or electrical license are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed
Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: Plumbing repairs, Electrical repairs, Carpentry work, Painting and touch-ups, HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance, Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs
Snow plowing
Operate a Bobcat
Lawn mowing
Manage a small team
