About The Position

The Facilities Manager, working and planning in conjunction with the Maintenance Crew and Trade Contractors, is responsible for the maintenance of all areas of The Sanford Center. This role involves leading, directing, and participating in the maintenance of HVAC and related systems, programming and monitoring the Building Management System (BMS) for energy efficiency, and operating/repairing mechanical, plumbing, environmental control, and electrical systems. The position also includes training maintenance personnel, managing work orders, supervising maintenance staff, directing contracted building maintenance, and handling project management as assigned. The role requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and involves physical tasks such as prolonged standing, stooping, lifting, and working at heights. Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all safety precautions are always followed.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner to reduce hazards.
  • Leads, directs, participates in, and provides insight into the maintenance of the HVAC and related system operations and computerized maintenance management systems that support work order management and preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Programs and monitors the BMS (Building Management System) to ensure energy efficiency scheduling/operation of the HVAC and other systems to optimize performance and savings.
  • Operate, monitor, repair and maintain the facility’s mechanical systems, plumbing, irrigation, environmental controls, emergency power, electrical, HVAC and lighting systems as required for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
  • Trains maintenance personnel to perform temperature set point adjustments, respond to alarms, and how to reset systems to proper operation.
  • Verifying completed maintenance and entering the data into a tracking system.
  • Hires, schedules, and supervises maintenance staff.
  • Provide safety and operational training as required to the crew.
  • Project management as assigned by the GM/Director of Operations.
  • Directs contracted building maintenance.
  • Attend professional development training sessions as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
