Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center (25-bed Critical Access Hospital) invites applications for the full-time position of Facilities Manager. A strong skill set is needed to plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the plant operations and maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utilities, and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and comfortable with project management. Accountable to the VP of Ancillary Services for planning and maintaining an effective organization, for administering labor and material controls, for training of maintenance personnel on safety and for effective management practices. Daily interaction with Organizational Leaders and other hospital personnel, medical staff, patients/residents, and visitors. Manage a team of 8 maintenance technicians and provide them with hands on demonstration to facilitate their growth and development. Experience in budgeting and long-range planning is needed to ensure the development of current and future assets. Able to plan, organize, direct and control the facilities management functions of the hospital, including but not limited to building maintenance operation, environmental services, laundry services, grounds care, transportation, safety and regulatory compliance. Establish goals, objectives, standards of performance, develop and implement operating policies and procedures; interpret policies, standards, regulations and codes to personnel.
