About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance role at Base Camp performs preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance on building systems and assigned equipment. The work includes project and response maintenance involving electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building-finish skills. This is a third-shift position, 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The employee maintains building envelopes and connected systems, performs routine maintenance on data center climate-control and fire detection and suppression systems, and responds to facilities emergencies while on shift. The role also includes building inspections, work-order completion, minor repairs, event support, weather cleanup, and site litter cleanup. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommendations to improve procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two or more years of experience.
Thorough understanding of general facilities maintenance and basic proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Electrical knowledge for 120–480V systems and ability to operate electrical testing equipment.
Ability to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts.
General knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and fire suppression systems.
Friendly demeanor, service-oriented attitude, and engaging communication skills.
Good observation and follow-through skills.
Sufficient computer skills to fulfill work orders.
Ability to read building plans.
Excellent time-management skills.
Ability to walk and stand regularly, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at elevated heights.
Ability to operate company vehicles for travel to local offsite properties.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and repair maintenance on the building envelope and connected systems.
Perform routine maintenance on data center climate-control and fire detection and suppression systems.
Schedule and perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacing switches, lighting ballasts and lamps, and motors.
Inspect and make minor repairs to building roofs and flashing.
Perform routine building inspections and create and complete work orders.
Respond to facilities emergencies as the primary on-shift contact, including fire alarms, HVAC issues, and electrical issues.
Clean spills, drain backups, roof leaks, and similar issues.
Perform paint maintenance and touch-ups throughout the building.
Support special events, including VIP visits and company assemblies.
Perform weather cleanup, including tree-debris and snow removal.
Complete site litter cleanup as required.
Travel to local offsite properties and operate company vehicles.
Perform other duties as assigned.
