About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Facilities Maintenance Worker. This position is responsible for general facility maintenance and upkeep of the property.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic facility maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
- Two or more years of experience in general maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, septic, and painting.
- Ability to operate a computer system.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and good communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently but must be able to work collaboratively with other team members.
Nice To Haves
- Electrical Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain - additional certification pay applies.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks across all areas of the mine.
- Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting work.
- Repair and maintain floors, sinks, walls, doors, and roofing.
- Service and maintain heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning units.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and other items as needed.
- Work with the purchasing department to maintain supply inventory.
- Perform exterior property maintenance, including parking lot upkeep, weed removal, and snow removal.
- Maintain custodial rooms to ensure MSHA compliance including cleanliness, organization, and proper storage/labeling of hazardous materials.
